How Would You Rate These SPEAKERS?
i am considering getting them and want some feedback on them before i shell out $1000 bucks........

Well, I've heard these speakers side by side with klipsch reference series speakers... I believe they where the rf82 floor standers. The icon series are noticeably warmer sounding - with the same amp. The rf82 also had better stereo imaging and was louder and had more presence. I guess with the right settings, the icon series can sound as "strong".
I love the sound of klipsch's reference series, the icon is not far behind for me... As it depends on what type of sound you prefer.
Go out and audition them: as $1000 is a lot to invest based on pics/specs only. While you are at it, check out their reference series too! They cost about the same: I'd suggest the rf82 or rf83. They are top notch for their price and will compete with any top rated speaker/even the ones that cost 5x more!
The icon series is the klipsch line of "more furniture friendly" look. With wood grain, and black woofers:which are carbon fibre instead of klipschs signature copper coloured anodized aluminum.
Both have excellent titanium horn loaded tweeters!
Anyways, look for sales- they won't disappoint!!!
