I first learned of ORIANTHI from watching the premiere of Michael Jackson's movie THIS IS IT. Orithani showed amazing talent. But the real surprise is how amazing she sings, and plays guitar right up with the best in the rock genre.

I LOVE her Video "According to You" and have watched it several times, each time I was really pulled in.
She has that "IT" quality that can't be defined in words. That "IT" quality that becomes megastar talent, because she's got it all going for her.

Orianthi, I don't know if you read your reviews on Amazon, but just in case you do, remember, YOU GO GIRL! YOU ROCK!
Keep going filled with the passion you have. You are massively gifted and are a shining star in music.
I look forward to the day I can see you live in concert. THANK YOU for bringing your gifts to us all.

After hearing part of Orianthi's first single 'According to You', I thought for sure I had stumbled upon a new singer/songwriter that would prove to be worthwhile.

Well, I'm not saying I was mistaken, but I'm not finding myself enjoying Believe as much as I thought I would. Now don't get me wrong, this girl can play a wicked guitar, and by the end of the CD that was the only thing keeping me listening. And, yes, she's got a pretty good voice (a great voice for rock music). So what's hindering my enjoyment? I honestly couldn't tell you. There are some excellent tracks but more times than not they run together.

I'm glad she stuck with such a rock edge throughout the duration seeing as how well that suits her vocals. I would actually consider Orianthi more rock than pop honestly, the only true pop quality she sports is her far-too-relationshippy lyrics. Heck, even her ballads take on more of a power ballad feel than a atandard pop ballad. Only proving this fact more is that she put a song sans vocals on here in the form of Highly Strung. Not only is that cool, but it shows how crazy she is on the guitar. Sadly, it always comes back to her lackluster lyrics. They don't ruin any song, but they in no way help her case.

Wanna hear the good news? Believe is easy to pick up and listen to no matter what your mood is. No song is bad, Orianthi's voice is always spot on, the guitar solos are tasteful, and you'll actually probably find yourself singing more than a few of the songs long after you hear them. Believe is in no way a bad CD, it's actually quite enjoyable, just don't let all the five star reviews cloud your judgement.

I looked forward to her album. The hype was there...Santana. Bought it,ituned it, deleted all but one song. "Highly Strung" demonstrates Oriantha's talent; the rest was "Hart-redone" or some other FM noise.

Who tells these kids that their songs must have words? Such inane lyrics drowning out such talent! You know, I don't care if she wrote them or not. Her talent is playing the guitar. She can join the great guitarists, like Morse, Mclaughlin,... Or she can become the intro band for others.

I would rebuy this album, if the lyrics were gone and it concentrated on the amazing talents of this young guitarist.

As soon as I got home from seeing the movie "This is It" and finding out Orianthi was Michael Jackson's guitarist to travel with him on the tour - I bought the CD! Awesome! She can really ROCK! She's more real than Avril L. Her music is rock, ballads, and she could have a slight bit of country sound. I think Orianthi is capable of doing ANY music and she should explore that! Rock, punk and pop would be great to hear from her!! She has a strong voice as well. I wasn't sure how her voice would be since I had only seen and heard her on the guitar - but she CAN SING :)
Great CD and hopefully her next one will rock out more - like MJ said "This is your time to shine!"
