Album Description
2009 holiday release from the 10 member vocal group. This is one of the most obnoxious Christmas albums ever produced. Working in retail, we listen to the CDs overhead all day long, and every time a song comes on from this album, I die a little on the inside. I prefer Sting and the Chipmunks Christmas albums to this reedy, repetitive, and obnoxious CD.

  2. I LOVED last years Christmas offering from Straight No Chaser and was expecting something of the same quality. I am very sad to say that I thought this CD was AWFUL. Probably only 3 songs met my expectations based on what I know they can do.

Its almost as if they were trying too hard to make each song different. I appreciate that but, some of the arrangements were simply akward. Some of the solos were painfully bad. It also seems like they were struggling to equal the novelty of last year’s 12 Days of Christmas and failed. Even many of the harmonies were off. Dont know what changed whether it was the performer mix, arrangers, producers… but something went wrong this year

I 100% recommend last years CD.. its spectacular. You WONT be disappointed by it… BEAUTIFUL.

  3. The songs are cleverly done but need a visual to be thoroughly enjoyed. The antics of the live performance are sorely missed when all you have is the audio.
    Rating: 3 / 5

  4. Straight No Chaser’s second Christmas album is filled with upbeat numbers and fantastic new arrangements of well known tunes. The album captures the liveliness and fun of Straight No Chaser without taking away from their well-tuned harmonies. My favorite arrangements demonstrating this are “God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen” and “Jingle Bells”. The group seems to get tighter sounds with each new album which makes me very excited for 2010’s anticipated non-Christmas release.

I loved this album. The selections are perfect, with beautifully crafted harmonies and arrangements. Some songs are fun and light and make you laugh. Others are more traditional. Either way, the songs work beautifully, and I enjoyed each and every one.
