I bought the record, and I returned the record.
Since when is "Crazy Little Thing Called Love" a Sinatra styled song?
Shame on Warner Brothers for milking the legacy of a dead artist to start out the career of someone who couldn't hold Sinatra's cup of coffee.
Way out of line.

I just want to know why would anyone want to listen to a dude whom we know is faking sing like Frank Sinatra. Frank S was horrible and I would rather be beaten then to listen to this c.d.. My roommate had this c.d. and it made me want to drink bleach. I can't understand why people actually go out and buy this .... Michael Buble should be given herpes in his throat for this mess. Michael Buble--Boooooo

I just watched this guy on Ellen and he sucks. I don't care for his music at all. Thank goodness I didn't waste my money on his CD.

This guy looks nice and he looks young. His voice is pleasant and he sounds vaguely like a number of other singers (Sinatra, Martin, Bennett, Connick Jr., etc.).
I have now heard this CD - too many times - up loud! - in my shop. So what is it like?
Well, this is a real 'middle of the road' album. Inoffensive and dull most of the time but occasionally it tries to go up tempo it just doesn't work.
If you want to listen to this sort of thing - a modern crooning man's voice doing standards in lush arrangements - then you should opt for stylish and experienced singers like Michael Feinstein or Harry Connick Jr.
Those two gentelmen do this sort of thing convincingly and with style. What is more, they get inside the music, lyrics and story of a song and bring it to life.
Mr. Bublé's disc does have a certain camp/kitsch quality to it - when he sings "How can you mend a broken heart?" - you can just picture him in a tuxedo (dinner suit)with a microphone in a lounge bar - with a big grin on his face! This is not an 'interpretation' of a song - he is merely singing it! A song like this needs the singer to convince us he is feeling pain and in desperation. Bubbles sounds like he is on an ego-trip - enjoying the sound of his own voice far too much.
His "Crazy little thing called love" - is even more camp than Freddie Mercury's version - if that is possible!!! All style and no substance! Mr. Bublé needs to learn, not only how to get inside a sound and feel the words and the music, but also how to pick suitable material for his voice and standards. At the moment, he is merely a superior Karaoke singer and he is awfully young and inexperienced in this style of music. This sort of music not only needs style and pleasant voice - it needs experience, heart, sass, attention to detail, attitude and maybe a bit of life experience!
What am I saying??!!! Maybe this guy has a great future ahead of his singing to drunks in Las Vegas casinos!! Wayne Newton can't live forever, can he? (Heck! Give me Wayne any day! He is the real thing!)
Don't believe the hype - Bubbles' first album isn't brilliant and it isn't really that good, either. It does, however, have the G FACTOR - Grannies, [and] Girls will (er... may) love it!
Needless to say, this recording will sell well and make MrBubléa shirt-load of dough. He will become popular and lots of people will suggest that critics of this singer, like me, are being negative and too hard on this guy. Maybe I am, but there are lots of fabulous singers in the world and they deserve the kind of chance Bublé has received.

I personally think that you are wasting your time and money if you but this album. The fact that this artist has not written a single word or note by himself tells me that he is all looks and no talent. If I wanted to hear a high quality remake of a 50's or 60's songs I'd rather listen to Harry Connick Jr.

Michael is a hack and dosn't deserve to be singing Bentit, Sanatra, or any other artists songs. Mike if you remake a song then make it better...not worse. I'd rather listen to Steve wonder then to this crap.... At least he's a real musician in every sence of the word.
